The Pet Emergency and Specialty Center of Marin (www.pescm.com) is looking for a Client Service Representatives to join our wonderful front desk team. We are looking for a full-time candidate to work swing shifts (Sundays through Wednesdays 2pm to 12:30am).



About PESCM:  PESCM, located in San Rafael, is the original 24/7 veterinary hospital in Marin County, with specialties in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, Emergency, Critical Care and Radiology. About the Job: As a Client Service Representative at the front desk, you will be responsible for client service as your top priority, including but not limited to: 
  • Welcome our clients in a friendly, helpful, and compassionate manner 
  • Prepare and review documents and medical records accurately and completely 
  • Educate and advise clients regarding PESCM's services and practices 
  • Process appointments, emergencies, and client requests while ensuring the highest quality of care and satisfaction for our clients at all times. 
  • Process admissions and discharges accurately; schedule follow up appointments as necessary 
  • Process invoices and payments accurately 
  • Assist with other administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, and emailing 
About you: 
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting strongly preferred, but extensive client service background without veterinary experience will be considered 
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written; organizational skills; proactive thinking and a positive attitude are also a must 
  • Ability to multi-task in a chaotic environment with competing needs 
  • Ability to answer multiple phone calls efficiently and politely while also prioritizing clients in person 
  • Ability to be compassionate at all times with upset and worried clients 
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and community is required. 
  • Positive outlook and ability to work well in a collaborative environment. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expected 
  • Honesty, integrity, and a desire to learn and have fun!

Pay: $23/hr - $25/hr. We also offer differential pay for weekend and overnight shifts.
